I know there are only one or 2 members on here that may be able to id this but I'm posting this in the hopes that they may see it. I have a few Chinese Chops (seals) that i'm trying to identify the characters on. I posted the two easiest ones since there are only 3 characters to be id'd between the 2. I have another larger, very elaborately carved piece but I have to dig it out of a box. I just picked these 2 up this past weekend at an estate sale. Here they are-

Any ideas?

Translator in my office says they appear to be peoples names probably for personalizing letters or something. Nice little pieces.

Do you have a better shot of the Sculpture? What is the material?

Thanks. I wonder what the marks on the front of both of them are... they appear to be identical.

Because of the color variations in the stone, how sure are you of the marble designation? They look more like jade to me, which they were more commonly made from.

I'm not really. I just figured it looks like marble because of the colors, but I'm not expert. I usually equate jade with green but I know it comes in other colors too. So i'd say your probably right. :occasion14:
