anyone tried a headhunter pirate detector

[size=13pt]Pirate is a great detector for the money. It work great on beaches and dry/wet sand. There have been some really nice finds with this detector. I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about this machine that has used it. Some bought them as a backup detector and are now using them as a primary. They're light weight and easy to use. All the controls and batteries are in the headphones. You can detect for hours without getting arm fatigue.

I had one to give water hunting a try, first time out I found a ring and pendant with it. It worked great for me, until I got out to about waist deep and then I got some falsing. I was afraid of getting the phones wet so I ended up with a excal and couldn't be happier. I will say if you want a detector to hit the beach for fun and not get too deep. For the money its a good machine. The phones were a little bulky, and where the coil goes on the shaft it seemed a bit shaky but it does find stuff.
