Anyone use the Impact in wetsand or salt water.

I know the unit is not waterproof but the coil is suppose to be so would this be a good unit for detecting at the beach?
I'm new and have been looking at the AT pro and MX sport but the Impact has my interest.
I do NOT plan on any diving just very shallow water and beach hunting. I will be doing more Upland hunting then beach at first.

Thanks.. I found this after watching many youtube vids... Seems to do good, hoping to get mine before vacation at end of June, heading to Myrtle beach area.

Is this standard practice for forums in general? I think the racer 2 does ok in wet sand so I would imagine that the impact would also.
