Bring a lot of flooding. But first up is a couple visitors we had yesterday. You can compare the gravel from the first photo with the flood photos.

flood5.webpThe pond breached in three locations today. This was one spot. Hubby and friend had to put pumps in the pond in hopes to keep that from happening again.

View attachment 1573452 This photo was taken Saturday, March 24th. I posted it so you can see how much gravel there was and in the background you can see the bridge that is flooded in the above pic.

It is currently raining again. :toothy2:

We know the feeling down here...Be safe!!!

Thank you. You too!

The water has receeded and this morning we have high winds and snow. I think we're a month behind. March was supposed to be in like a lion and out like a lamb, not April. :BangHead:

11-12 feet in the deep end.

What do you have for fish in there?

This is what we have to look forward too here..

It is stocked with channel cat, blue gill, large mouth bass, and grass carp. There were 2 walleye and 1 crappie put in there last year as prize fish for the grandsons to catch. There are some pics of the boys catching fish from the pond in blakbart's thread. Stay hunkered down, WT. I hope you don't lose any of your feeders!

You were right there at smokies. Cool!

We used to vacation yearly and weekend getaways at German creek marina in bean station. We stayed in the same trailer so often that I supplemented the kitchen with utensils and dishes, etc.
Absolutely beautiful country in Tennessee!

Best place I ever lived in my life..The Great Smoky Mountains.

I will maybe get out this weekend. IDK. Got to have one of those “working weekends.” :BangHead:

Forget not...PRACTICE makes perfect.take pics of interesting stuff..get to know that camera,USE IT.

Yeah That’s on the list. I was able to get the owners manual printed off. But need to read it also.

That manual can be a bit overwhelming Sis.

Lol! Yes it is, Chris! I still need to find page 167 that you directed me to previously. Plus, I did something and have a red flashing light , so I have to figure out that. I'll just have to take a military approach...

And, since WT and I have already discussed it between ourselves it does seem to be an oddity of these Nikons (I have the cheaper version ... 340) ... give it a minute to figure out where it is before trying to take a macro pic. It will constantly hunt a scene until it brings it close to focus. Wait until the scene is somewhat in focus before pressing the shutter part way to get the best focus.

Get in a hurry with my camera, and all I have is bokeh (pronounced "bo-kay" like a "boquet" of flowers) to add to some picture in the future.
