Hi All,

Well, it is summer and it is hot as hell in Texas. Hit 108 degrees in my town. Our swimming pool is luke warm (what fun). No rain relief in sight and boy do we need it. My dad (yeah we really do have cows in Texas) sold off some of his herd due to the drought. Still trying to get him to buy boxes and search as he is retired. Even brought some boxes down to the "country" and low-and-behold, the box he opened contained 8-40%ers. That was a while back and I thought I had got him hooked--but to no avail.

Nonetheless, pickens have still been slim. Last night's 6 boxes only produced a total of 6-40%ers (Mr. Apush got all those from one box) and 1-90% (I was almost completely skunked).

I have cut back to 7 boxes a week until school starts. I am finishing up my 2nd masters degree this semeseter (yuck--I have to and it is so dang boring as it is in Education Administration) but the job pays the bills.

I am on vacation this week so I ordered 6 boxes of dimes to be picked up on Friday. Wish me a tad of luck. I am hoping for 10 keepers, but would happily settle for 5 out of 6 boxes!

HSH & I miss reading the forum and not being a "regular" anymore!

I don't see how you have the time or the banks to take 7 boxes worth of halves to dump every week?

Hopefully things start picking up for you. Miss seeing your posts on a regular basis. Good luck finishing up your degree...I start my master's program this Fall...hopefully I will still have time to hunt.
