Beaver with rabies. This is the same river beaver attack from 2 years ago. In this short, a river beaver had just grabbed me from behind and bit my butt. I tossed him out into the river but he turned and came after me again. The beaver was taken to the health department where it tested positive for rabies.
Obviously he Survived Was Apparently a Few Years ago : am working on a "rabies" video and posted this to FB by accident so figured I'd share it here as well. This encounter happened a few years ago. EDIT: This beaver was tested by the Maryland State Laboratory and it was positive for rabies. Also, I was a Rabies Specialist in the Health Department at one time and have handled many rabid animals. I know rabies better than most.
