Aquascan Aquapulse 1b Any body know anything

I got an Aquapulse Aquascan 1b. I found in a shop. The price was right.....I sent it in and had them check the seals and such since this was an underwater detector, I figured better safe than sorry. I am getting it back this week. The service center said it all checks out fine, good clean bill of health. I found them on the web....they are expensive...but I don't find much about them...what is your opinion. The picture is the exact setup I got....They sell for $1750.
I will be beach detecting and in salt water so I chose a PI machine.
