There ae actually nine sites so far...
Five in a group...
One of which is almost certainly it.

One group of 5 ships included the Lord Sandwich transport, formerly Capt. James Cook's Endeavour Bark
They mapped 9 archaeological sites of the 13 ships that were scuttled in Newport Harbor in 1778, during the American Revolution.

YES! And, the neat thing about it, if it is the Endeavor, its a SUPER, Historically Significant wreck! I'm sure there will be FUNDING following this discovery!

So they have plans of the ship, they know what it looked like, then the structure, anything clue-wise that will tell the archaeologists, yes, this is THE Wreck...!
