That's pretty darned good, but great for a homemade bow:notworthy:

Nice shots! That's really cool that you hand make long bows. I have a great bow that I enjoy shooting too.

For some one who hunts artifacts a self bow can only enhance the experience.
Congrats on your build.

Remember ...release the string between heartbeats. L.o.l..

Well, thank yall. That was the best group of many less than stellar groups lol and the build is pvc pipe with cut & bundled fiberglass driveway markers stuffed in it. Crude but works well, has about a #45 draw, cost $11. If I hit the lotto I'll buy a real hand made long bow... they are a bit pricey but I would love to own one.

I'd love to see a pic of your long bow.

A friend of mine's son made same type of bow and he used it at an archery contest and won with it.

Would love to see a pic of the bow itself.

Made several bows over the years, and have been a traditional bowhunter
since 1983. Last one was made like an old English longbow, and used
Yew for the bow with a hickory back.

Haven't shot in years (blew out a rotator cuff) but still have 2 of my bows,
and a pile of hand made cedar shafted arrows.

I'll take a pic & post it soon. I have only made three the last one for my son, did it up to look like wood & decorated it nicely. Can't get a pic of it though he's off to Iraq very soon & left for his base in El Paso last week.
