As Cheyne Dougan rounded the corner at Clarksville High School, he saw three students on the floor moaning and crying. In a split-second, two more ran out of a nearby classroom. "He's got a gun," one of them shouted as Dougan approached with his pistol drawn. Inside, he found one student holding another at gunpoint. Dougan aimed and fired three rounds at the gunman.

Hey what's the problem with this.. Other than people are going to whine saying it's dangerous.. I believe if they are going to properly train the teachers why not allow them to be armed.. Alot of schools nowadays have and officer with a firearm which is great but that's only one person.. At least this way more people will have eyes on the kid and be able to difuse a bad situation.. Lets face it things are'nt getting any better so why not allow the teachers to help out..

Will probably be the football coach and the gym teachers (male and female :) ) Might possibly be able to convince the "History" teacher as well.

Alas, the Arkansas AG shot this down yesterday....

Guys, I taught high school for nearly 30 years. Trust me, there were teachers out there that were ape **** crazy. They were the last people you wanted to give a gun to. No amount of training would make a bit of difference. Don't believe me? Go sub or observe in your kid's school for just a day...
