Back at it today on post and found this large fort hood medcom coin for excellence. Who ever it was presented to obviously didn't care for it and tossed it. Finders keepers! Found the very small sterling silver ring at my hot spot park, near it was another 1959-d dime. I think this makes 6 of the same date/mint at this location, kind of a good jinx. I also found a very nice 1940 nickel, 38 penny and a few other wheaties. Oh, and lots of biting ants.

Love the army find. Bet the guy lost that coin, but it's yours now...

Congrats on your dime - nickel - wheaties and military coin finds - hats off to the brave soldier who lost his coin for excellence - anyway thanks for sharing your picture of your finds with all of us and I wish you many more great finds while out dirt fishing.

That military challenge coin or award belonged to Sargeant First Class, (E-7), Kerrick.
Congrats on the silver.

Great finds, two silvers and a challenge coin, yay! Sub 8-)

I know where a hole bunch of coins are, freshly handed out as awards after getting back from Iraq and everyone seen it as a insult and tossed them reason they awarded senior leaders Bronze Stars for actions in Iraq that never happn before we deployed .......sorry for the rant ....congrats on the finds and happy hunting

Nice finds! The Fort Hood coin/token is an interesting recovery!
