I've never seen one of these. Don't know anything about it. Tried to search it and didn't find anything on this particular one. Measures: 1 3/4" dia. 1/8th" thick.

Anyone else fine one of these?

Thats called a challenge coin - way it works is when your at the bar and some one throws don a challenge coin you have to 1 up them or that round is on you - the best challenge coins is from (in my USMC dayz) was a General's coin (only give out by that General, but the coins were all the way down to the specific "camp" (in the USMC the bases were by camp's). AWESOME FIND BY THE WAY!!!

I imagine this was a recruiters challenge coin that some poor SOB flunky dropped, still would be a very welcome addition to my challenge coin collection!

A funny addition to my above comment, I was in the USMC from 1998-2002 and one day we were on a navy ship heading out on deplyment. Well I was in the showere when over the PA system it said that the "Commandant Of The Marine Corps" was on ship. Well like I said I was in the shower and so was all of my bros in my unit, we finnished up and went back to our birthing area (or place on a ship) and my buddy was still in a towel and was bending over gettin his cammies out of he seabag and he got a MEGA smack on the arese, well he thought it was one of us messin with him so he swong around to bust him in the jaw and it was full blow General and the head of the USMC that smacked hit butt!!!! We were all like oh god dont do it but he said something to the tune of in the shower its the only time I can relax and he flipped a Commandant challenge coin to him - thats the ultimate coin you can throw down no matter what the situation!!! hahaahaa my bud said he was ready to knock some teeth out hahahahaha

My guess would be that by what is written on it , it was probaly awarded to a contractor that worked with the military. I have a similar one for what I did in Afghanistan. Someone is probaly sorry they lost this one. Mine stays in my safe!
