World War I U.S. Army artillery enlisted man's collar disk. Worn on the left collar; a "US" disk was worn on the right collar.

Thanks PBK, I forgot to add in my post that it looked like a collar pin for it has two prongs on the back aloong with a screw post.

PBK...This must be the disk you described for the other shoulder...found this not too far from the first one.
