Unfortunately, my wifes grandfather passed away recently. He was an avid fisherman and collected arrowheads.
The family is working on selling the house, contents, etc and all that fun stuff. They are keeping some of the framed arrowheads he had, but asked if I could help sell off some of the others he had stored in cigar boxes.
I went and picked them up today, and its a bit overwhelming. There are a LOT of them and I'm not really sure how to approach doing anything with them, or if theres really anything special here.

I snapped this pic of the ones I pulled out, which is maybe a third of them (havent even opened the other boxes yet). We are from mid Pennsylvania and he fished the creeks and Susquehanna river. I suspect most are from those areas, collected during the 70's (he had 1976 written on one of the boxes). I know this pic isnt organized at all..and I put a bottle cap on the left for scale purposes. Am I looking at anything special here?
What would be my best method of selling these off for them, do they have any value?

Theres a few cooler looking ones I unfortunately didn't get in the pic, white/crystalline in color (quartz?). Some of these are shiny, some are gray, brown etc..its kinda all over the place.

Thanks for any help/pointing in the right direction.

Sorry about the loss of your wife's grandfather.

You might want to contact Paul Frey. He's a collector/dealer in Pennsylvania, and from my experiences, a decent guy.

RavensRelics Buy and Sell Indian Artifacts and Arrowheads

FWIW, a lot of the points there are field grade or a little better, not really worth a lot money. Some of them are nice, and there are a lot of them, so it'll add up to something.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. I may be interested in some of those for my states collection

Can you post a better picture of the piece with the two holes in it? That is a Gorget but the holes look fresh.

I spoke too soon on the quantity of specific things. Turns out the other boxes were just larger items. Pics below.
Also attached pictures of the one with two holes in it that are closer Theres a few oddball things I don't have in the pics, things that may or may not be bone?
Two longer thin cylindrical pieces bored all the way through (bead type things?). Am I basically look at a ton of arrow heads and smaller hatchet type things?

The notched stones are Net Weights and are a pretty common find in Pennsylvania.

Some nice pieces in there but prob only worth under $10 each for the points maybe more for some of the larger ones . The drilled piece is nice but again not worth much. Have you considered buying a nice display case and keeping them ? There’s a lot of hours of hunting to find all those artifacts maybe a grandkid may take interest in them one day.
