Nice find, definitely worked by human hands but looks a little big to be an arrowhead. Maybe a spearhead or knife?

Looks worked, & maybe an unfinished one.

I would consider that a tool. Perhaps a scraper. Keep looking in that area because there could likely be more artifacts nearby. Good luck!

50 ft down? Wow! what a depth for it. I have always wondered if you guys working in sand and gravel pits ever find good stuff. Nice piece. Thanks for sharing

At first I thought that was petrified wood, but can petrified wood even be hollow?! That looks like a huge bone where the marrow deteriorated from the inner cavity.. Anyone?

I was working for a home builder in Iowa and in one area they dug up some sandy soils where the basements would be and they dug up some mammoth bones in that sandy soil. The developer ask everyone to keep hush about it and not report it to any one who could put a halt to things as an archaeological dig. The developers son kept the bones that were dug.

Properly kept it quite because the bones were worth money.

Most of my Flint from Flint Ridge is that color and has crystals in it. What state did you find it in?
