Arrowheads, Red Eft's and a Cannonball

The Red Eft were out and about the littlest ones I've ever seen. Found a couple worked arrowheads the first one is just the tip. The second is a snook kill with the tip missing. The big round ball of iron I expect is a cannonball I don't see any markings on it. Whats a good reference book or web site on cannonballs?

I really love the Lizard Or is some type of Salamander ?
The cannon ball seems sorta small (unless you have HUGE hands).
Could it be the shot from some type of large canister?
What area of the country are you in?

Nice ball! With no markings, it would appear to be from a 24-pounder stand of grape. Very kewl! Where I'm from in Mississippi the Confederates threw a lot of these.

I'm in upstate NY so I was leaning more towards Rev. War shot. I don't know thou??

They used these in the Rev, 1812 and Civil War. There should be at least 11 more of those nearby.
