When I'm out digging in the dirt I always save fun, interesting, playful and colorful shards.

Here's the latest upcycle projects. I made the 'word marbles' by using a clear adhesive and regular ole copy paper.

They're titled "Positive Reflections"

I have one more that's currently in the curing stage. It's coral. turquoise and cream colors.

This is how I tame the metal detecting beast when it's screaming to come out and dig.

Those are neat! Monty

Nice reflections from you! Those are clever, we need more positive feedback these days. especially when we look at ourselves. Spring is just around the corner, it won't be long now.

Thanks Tee, naturegirl and Monty!

I know I'll be digging next month:) Yea!

They are gorgeous! And your inspirational messages in them are great.
I have keep broken, beautiful pieces of porcelain and glass throughout the years of digging, always going to do a project with them when I have the time. They are here somewhere, with all my to do projects.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful art work. Take care and thanks again.

Interesting. What material did you use to set the shards in?

I've been at this for awhile...metal detecting AND upcycling:)

rginn...I use regular grout, the usual hardware store variety. If I need color grout, I add acrylic paint to mix and play with it.

here's a bottle I saved from certain doom. and many playful shards as well.

What snow? Did I miss something? Maybe I should go outside once in a while.

Nice project, I slab and carve rocks for the fun of it at this time of year.

It is good to have some kind of project. And if you missed snow you do not have to shovel.

Nice work.

I have a box of ancient Arizona Indian potsherds somewhere. I kept them due to their colors and fancy designs.

Very excellent work. You have an abundance of talent and apparently an abundance of free time on your hands. ( those aren't things you just 'slap' together)

Thanks RGinn...I wish I had an abundance of free time! I work a full time job, do community work and when time allows, I craft. And of course in good weather I MD every free moment possible!!!

P.S. I enjoyed your "cat" story...made me laugh in the bestest way!
