Dug one of the most prettiest “flat/dandy” buttons I have ever found. Aside from not being CW period military, this one ranks at the top of my list due to the condition and detail.

Pretty sure it’s colonial, but if anyone has any further information it’s welcomed and appreciated.

Can't help with the ID but nice button find! :icon_thumright:
 
Tough one, not seen one identical, had a similar smaller one from the 18th C, with that odd 2 piece construction, so I'm going with 18th C. Its an unusual button & a good find.
