at gold problems? anyone?

I have an at gold and love it but I have noticed that when in all metal mode if I bump the coil on weeds or rocks or the ground,( even slightly) it sounds off but when in the other modes it does not do this. i previously owned garrett scorpion gold stingers in the past years and they did the same thing. just wondering if anyone else that uses an at gold has experienced this ?

First guess, make sure cable is tied down securely. Maybe clean out coil cover.

This is the problem with the ATs. The coils seem unstable like when you pump it on the grass on the ground you get a signal. I have not noticed this on any other detectors except the Garrett's. However if you have a coil cover you could try cleaning it out.

sorry sand man,but I have never had that issue with the at pro or the at gold....some other detectors I have....I also have less emi problems the the at pro and gold than some of my other detectors

Barry, it might be your location, or the AT's aren't as hot as they were when they first came out. Something has changed for sure.
