Thanks looks like your doing ok this year. But how come I'm not finding the wheats like I use too?

Thanks!, that's a tough question though, can be a million reasons why

Love those mercury dimes. Nice find.

Most places have been hit over and over. Dime is the smallest coin, best chance somebody missed it. If you want, I'll trade you a wheatie for the dime! :evil6: lol

Yeah found 12 dimes besides the Merc plus 4 nickels and a bunch of pennies. When you detect and find mostly dimes and nickels the place has been hit already. But the At Pro will find it if it's there

I do love the mercury dimes and that is a really nice one. I hunted about 2 hours last night and found a 53-d wheat penny. I was happy with it but would rather it was a merc of the same year.

Very nice Merc.

That's a nice looking merc , - hit the edges of these parks , under the hedges and bushes (where possible ) A lot of detectorists are too
lazy to get down , and run the detector under low lying shrubbery and trees -

I would not complain. Cause likely in the future all you will find are Toasted wheat,s .

Heck I'm happy to dig Copper Memorials over Zinc Cents .

No Offense , But just so you know . 1945 was the last year Mercury Dimes Were Minted ,soo That 53 D would be a

Super silver and the detail is awesome!

I found a 1916 toasted wheat 5" down, nice strong signal, in a field next to a school, surprised the heck out of me!
Couldn't read the date till I got it home and gave it a bath!
