Gonna be a good model for years to come though. Proven model.....love mine.

Hello,

I have the AT Pro and AT Gold both fine machines. Take your time and learn the machine and you will be rewarded.

Regards,

The early at pros had a few problems. Now they are great....so a new machine might not be great the first year anyway. Buy the ATP!

I would think the investment in the AT Pro over the Ace is a good one. In the AT you still have the Ace with better better recovery rate and depth, and move to the Pro mode for better logistics. If you like your Ace, chances are you will love your AT Pro. Garrett is a good company.

I've had my AT Pro since it's inception and it has worked great for me. In fact out of the 3 various brands I own, this is the one I use 90% of the time. It is simplistic and works fantastic. If you're worried about a new model coming out, there's no way around that. New models are coming out all the time so unless you want the latest and greatest, I would just buy a competent detector, learn it well and be happy with it. That really is the key to metal detecting. Learn you machine and become one with it.

Love my AT Pro good choice easy to learn from the 250

I love all 3 of my AT Pros!

What is a "605481457-5698" machine?

Have had my good ol 250 for a while and I am thinking AT PRO time. My only concern I know this machine is a few years old and worried if I buy now Garrett will come out with the new 605481457-5698 machine for 2015-16. Any thoughts??

Thanks All

I believe he is referring to the serial numbers for the machines from a specific production period.

But I could be wrong, haha

The Garrett AT Pro is THE best machine out for the $. Hard to beat it.

No was just saying the AtPro is what 5 years old? Sooo usually when I buy something the new model comes out that year eg..the new AAtPro-1601245 . Anywho got one and love it. Goes deep in pro mode and pulls stuff I know my 250 missed.

It's like a random number generator.
