Didnt have much time to get out this weekend due to the inlaws coming in town.
Went back to the spot i found my oldest coin ever last weekend.
Within 10 minutes I got a very shallow hit , I figure it was a aluminum screw top the way it sounded, plus it was reading dead on 80.
I popped a quick plug out about 2 inches and out popped this beautiful 1920-S Merc!!.
It’s one of the better conditioned ones I have found.
I walked over and saw all my holes from last weekend and decided to pretty much dig anything…which worked out cause the next solid signal was this 1892 V Nickel.
It was odd because about 98% of my nickels read in the 51-53 ranges, and this one was 48-49.
It seems like every coin here reads slightly lower than any other place I hunt.
Thanks for lookin!
