ATTENTION.....upate on the Tiger Shark & Sand Shark

Ok folks I just got off the phone with Tesoro had a goof 15 minute chat with em in regards to the Trouble with the Tiger Shark & the Sand Shark, The problem has been with the waterproof coil wire connectors .The company Tesoro was getting the connectors flat out stopped making them an Tesoro hasnt been able to find a dealer that has the exact connectors.

I explained that me among others are seriously waiting for these water machines to be back out on the market , an said I myself am a Tersoro guy an would really hate to have to go to another brand to get my machine but that the way things are, TESORO is FORCING me an others to start looking else where for a water machine , Not giving our money to Tesoro.

I was told that yes they understand the publics frustrations with all of this an have the same frustrations an agree they are loosing money every day they dont have these machine available to the public.They do have a connector now they are doing testing on an figure another 2-3 weeks of testing unless something goes wrong they should hopefully be back in production on the Tiger Shark an the Sand Shark in about a month to a month an a half .

That's good news, I have been wanting a Tesoro water machine as well and have been trying to follow the progress. I hope they find the solution soon.

I had wanted a Sand Shark, but gave up and bought a used PI Pro instead.

This is really good news as I have been tempted to sell mine to one of the offers I've gotten and then I could buy a new car. When they get the new connectors going that means the waterproof Clean Sweep Coil will be available again for the Tiger Shark.

They've had my Tiger Shark since March for repairs.

Maybe I'll be able to get in the water in 2010.

My fear is the Clean Sweep Coil will be far down the list of priorities when they get their connector up and running. I have made similar contacts asking for the Clean Sweep but I did not get encouragement that they are open to making them. Why spend your time making a coil that sells for $199 or so when you can spend the same amount of time making a detector which you can sell for $600?? Makes good business sense to me.

I am a pig!! I did have the opportunity to buy a second Tiger Shark as a back up and now own two. I/m sorry I took one off the market that somebody else could use...kind of sorry but not too much. Jim

Tesoro has a non waterproof adapter that will allow the use of a Clean Sweep Coil for the other Tesoro detectors to be used on the Tiger Shark. That coil gives you 18 inches of coverage per sweep as opposed to the 8 inches with the standard coil.
