Bought this shoe box full of stamps for 7 bucks at a auction. I had no idea what the stamps where or how many they just said a box of stamps. I've been trying to separate them by country. I have ones from Austria
Germany
China
Canada
America
India
Romania
Brazil
Peru
New Zealand
Plus more

I just have no idea where to start as far as finding values. Any tips? I know nothing about stamps I collect fossils coins and things like that so this is new territory for me.

IT'S BEEN A REALLY LONG TIME, BUT I USED TO BE A BIG PLAYER IN THE STAMP SCENE.

I see a picture of one US stamp. As you may guess, most interest in the US, lies with US stamps. There is also a following with Canadian stamps. I remember collectors of Japanese stamps also. Many of them were stunningly beautiful.

The most respected price guide used to be "Scott's."
This gave what you might expect to pay at retail. If you're trying to sell them to a dealer, he of course has to resell them for a profit, so he would offer you less than this suggested value.

Denmark, Cuba, US, Canada, and many others. From the first sight, the value of these stamps are very low (0,1-0,5)

That Belgian 10c has a nice SON.
