I seen your pics on the prospecting page. Looks like gold. I too like taking pictures with microscope, I wish this forum had a place for micro/macro discussion. The tiny world is fascinating.

Thanks.Someone said its not possible to tell from pics. Elsewhere ,experienced prospectors have no problems identifying it looking at the actually specimens under a microscope.I guess that is the difference.

Nearly impossible I fear. With over 4000 minerals known to man it's hard even when you can do some typical tests.
Microscopic pieces are near impossible to ID for the hobbyist.
