I have in my possession a George Rex Padlock. Upon the brass slide that covers the keyhole is a stamp of a crown with the letters G R beneath it. On the bottom of the slide the word patent has also been stamped. I found the lock on the site of the first Australian gold rush (ophir 1851). Any relevant information on the origin and age of this lock would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Gypsyrover keen fellow treasurehunter.
