Has anyone heard of an authenticator named Calvin Howard? A friend sent me a pic of a very nice Ohio Dovetail and it had a COA from him.

I’ve heard of him but have never ran across any Paper with his sig on it.

I met him a few times, seemed like a bright/analytical guy with a very sharp eye.

Not sure why I see his papers as the back up on so many other questionable opinions, but it kind of tainted my opinion of his opinion.

Calvin Howard was a very knowledgeable straight-up guy that took authenticating very seriously. Having said that, I know of no authenticator that makes 100% perfect calls.
