Anyone have access to Ancestory or any other genealogy forums? You should find out the genealogy of Rosayln (Roslin) Saunders. She was Robert Morris' niece. Her husband David Saunders' genealogy should also be checked. There was a David Saunders in Bedford County and another in Campbell County. The one in Lynchburg, Va., Campbell County should be the one that married Robert Morris' niece, Rosalyn.
Now the clincher is there were also two David Saunders in Richmond during the Civil War a father and a son. The father was Mayor of Richmond during the Civil War. Now if this David Saunders was the David Saunders of Lynchburg, Va and Robert Morris died at his home. He could very well be the author with several others helping him to concoct the story about the Beale Treasure. Others involved could have been, N.H. Hazelwood, James Beverly Ward, Maurice Langhorne, Charles Button, these last two lived in one-half each of the former home of Robert Morris. Others could have been Max Guggenheimer Sr. and Jr., also members of the masonic lodge, as well as the Mayor of Lynchburg and dignitaries from Richmond, Va. Then there was Frank James and his family staying at the Arlington Hotel which was the former Washington Inn and Bell Tavern.
The Beale Papers most likely was a cover-up story so the gold of the Confederate Government could be recovered melted down and passed off as gold from Colorado Territory but several of the members wanted to scrap the whole project burning the printing office and the books of the Job Print Pamphlet that had already been printed. N H. Hazelwood told George and Clayton Hart that the ciphers had been altered. This was done to keep the treasure hidden in the mountains of Bedford County. This is what I have noted out of my 50 years of work on the Beale Treasure.
And that is why I think the US Government keeps agents in Lynchburg, Va that fly over Montvale daily and why they keep two agents at the Peaks of Otter Motel. William Buck Wright was a hermit that lived in the mountains above Buchannon, a sentinel that even had his Rebel General and members of Robert E. Lee Chapter at his funeral in 1911 or 1912,
I believe this treasure does exist it is KGC or CSA gold and it is not in Montvale, Va. that was the decoy where they wanted everyone to look. They kept the search area contained by saying the treasure was buried four miles from Buford's. But, they did not specify Buford's What? The treasure contains over $21 million face value in gold and is probably about 40 miles from Buford's but to find it and recover it is a task for the wealthy. Good luck.
