Awesome box with an awesome ender!

Hey everybody, I've been meaning to make a post about this for a few weeks now but just haven't had time. Hunting has been very slow for me lately but this goes to show that mixed among the skunks are some good boxes.

I picked up this box and cracked it open and could not believe my eyes. The first thing I saw was a reverse barber ender staring back at me. Not only is this my first ever barber half dollar in nearly 7 years of searching but it was an ender as well! The box ended up having a total of 8 silver enders and gave up a total of 59 silvers:

1896 barber
1 walker (1943)
4 Bens (1951d x2, 1952, 1962d)
8x 1964
45 40%

It was the best I've gotten in several years now. It's still out there, you just have to go through many more skunks to find the good boxes.

Now that's what I call a box! That's the first 19th century half I've seen on here in a while, nice to see you can still find a 120 year-old coin in the wild. Persevering through those skunks paid off!

Hey Brad, persistence pays off! This year has been a very strange year for hunting for me-- LOTS of skunks but it seems like when a box produces it gives up a lot. But this box has to be within the top 5 boxes ive ever gotten and I have been hunting since 2010. Keep at it and good luck!
