I found two Ax heads today, I am having problems uploading photo. I will post pictures when I figure out how to get them from the camera. I have a new Apple PC and I am just learning how to use it.
My question is, what do I do with them? Do I clean them up or do I leave them alone? According to a chart that I saw in an old Treasure net post it is a Rockaway style head and one is a hammer hatch. I have no idea of how old they are. They are pitted, I would say at least 70 yrs.

Electrolysis is a popular method as well as soaking in apple cider vinegar

Personally, I clean them up toe2short. The one's I have found - I have cleaned up because I have no intention of selling them. A lot of buyers want them just the way you pull them out of the ground (less the mud, etc.) - so, until you decide...

Thanks I took your advice, I cleaned them. I soaked them in vinegar then used a wire wheel. I found a few videos on you tube. They did a good job on them.
