Baldwin Brand #2 coal/ concrete shovel. pat 1925 (but looks like 1826??)
This had to be and maybe should still be, as evidenced by this survivor, the toughest shovel going. Imagine a wooden handle lasting nearly 100 years. It appears its last job was in concrete as a matter of fact. Imagine a centurion shoveling concrete?!!
