We recently moved from a 1921 home to a 1932 home and have been working our new yard. Dug this in the backyard last week. It is a B.P.O.E. Elks medal with "Lodges Of Arizona" on it. No date but there is a mark on the back with Chas M. Robbins Mfg Co./Attleboro MA. I was able to locate a 1909 Los Angeles B.P.O.E. medal online with the same marking. The company dates back to 1892. I showed it to a friend who is 94 and was an Elk early in his life. He didn't recognize the design. I haven't cleaned it other than some water and a soft brush.

That's a pretty neat pin. Hope you find a lot more in that yard.

Don,

That's a good theory. I was trying to figure out the significance of the number of stars.

Nice looking metal, I only found nails on my yard, thanks

It is an old lodge pin, most of which would have a lodge number on it. There are a lot of elks members that collect them & I would bet if you contact a lodge in AZ you might get some help on IDing the pin. Most of the older lodges keep a collection of their pins. The 19 stars could mean that the lodge help the 19th national convention.
