I have several oxes of b/w negs. how can I change to prints without building a darkroom and stuff? can I do it on the computer? Bob

If you have a scanner with a adapter for negatives that would be the cheapest way.

That is correct. All good photo editors have a reversal function.

What program do you use to edit photos? there should be an option to invert the color in the image after you scan it.

I've got an old PlusTek flatbed that I keep just because it will scan negs in strips, single negs, 2x2 negs and slides. I'm not sure if they still make them or not, but they came with a software bundle that had everything you needed. The bundled software would let you scan, do your brightness & contrast adjustments & save them to a drive or DC.

I'm sure you could find one for around $50 that'll get the job done easily. Try looking at FRYs Electronics or BestBuy.

Also, I demoed a couple dedicated film scanners, and they were way more expensive and not as easy to use.
