Barrington's SafeHouse Farm at 25550 W. Cuba Road has been said to have a long-standing history. Built prior to the Civil War, the farm derived its name from its suspected connection to the Underground Railroad system which transported slaves from the south to northern free states and Canada to help them escape slavery.
