Back "2" Back 100 coin days! And a bum story!!!

Last hunt 101 coins today 113! Anyone ever find a teddy bear like this one hoping it is gold but doubt it. Will have to get it tested. Stayed past my usual 3 hour hunt 4 hours 15 minutes. 3 coins spills of 18, 10 and 7 coins.

Now the funny story.... About 5 minutes before I left a bum came up and asked me what I was doing. I said well mainly looking for coins. He said "you find anything, let me see". I said around 100 coins proudly! He started laughing and said "what a waste of time"! Then he said>>>"Are you Polish" I said no, I am Irish and French. he said 'go buy a restaurant you been here way to long, you should know better"! he then walked away....I was not going to let him ruin my 100 coin back to back days. And because I was having a good day thought it was quite funny

Definitely should be proud of a hunt like that. Funny story with the bum though! Would be interesting to see what logic....or lack of logic...was behind the remark about you starting a restaurant and you being here too long. I have found those that seem to make no sense are fascinating to talk to sometimes....when they start explaining their logic even though it makes no sense to me I can see where they might think it made sense. of course I have been accused of relating entirely too well with the mental patients when I was in emergency services too! rofl Thanks for sharing the pictures and the story as well. Let us know what you find out about the adorable teddy bear!

Great day!! I think he meant to go BY (to) a restaurant to pan handle,LOL.Thats why the comment about being there too long.He prolly does better in shorter time. Some people make out pretty well like that.HH

Now about your hundred coin days.....last night at the treasure club meeting they were giving out little pins for people for having found 100 coins so looks like you would have quite a collection started toward your 1000 coin bars! I am new to all of this so I have neither but I am looking forward to it!

Way to go on your second 100 plus day, loving that and keep the streak going. That clad toal is really piling up. Nice little teddy too, congrats!

You may be are right! All of us should start panhandling with our detectors. We all could sit outside and say all I found was a few pennies and they could fill our treasure pouches!

I have had several, but also a lot of times thought i had 100 and usually it was really about 60-80. So I can usually tell by the end of the first hour if I have a shot. But today I did not find any quarters until after two hours. Then the 3 coin spills of 18, 10 and 7 really motivated me! I thought I had 150, but 113 is fine...but a ton of pennies!

I thought here I am after 4 hours of digging...it was 82 degrees and I thought...this bum is going to ask me for money!! All the people in the park and here he comes...but no...he might have given me money if I asked!

And I see people I am trying to catch! No not really trying to catch them...everyone has different amounts of time to hunt and different types of sites to hunt. I am fortunate that I can hunt while everyone else is working. That is one of the advantages getting off at 8am has during the week. I have hit a few sites during the week drove by and spotted a couple people hunting areas I just hunted really slowly, i don't think I left to much for them...

Seriously I read someone went over 10,000 coins already for the year. Also on one of the other forums I post someone has 1000 more coins then me. And i see some people getting out daily usually hitting 100 coins quite a bit. So I am not trying to be first..second..or third...just digging whenever I am not sore! Which usually works out to 3 times a week.

My favorite places to hunt are the areas where people gather. I like to hunt after i see people grouped together on fields, watching sports or where kids are playing. This year i have hit a few schools but I am saving them mainly for those summer days when parks are full early due to sporting events. My best hunts are when I go very very slowly. Whipping the coil around you miss way to many signals....the detector does not have time to respond one signal to the next. Also being able to use a small coil on the dfx changed me from 40-50 coin hunts to the sky is the limit. The smaller coil has taken care of that multiple signal where the detector is reading junk and coins at the same time confusing the signal (masking). Without the small coil I really believe my numbers would be cut in half...at best.
