Back after a LONG hiatus!

Hello!
I used to be a regular around this forum a LONG LONG time ago, but after several moves ( old bounty hunter got broken ) and a BABY!!!! My husband just bought me a new detector for my birthday!! Its a Garrett ace 250 and I cant wait to break it in! We just moved into our home a little over a year ago. Its a big wooded lot with an old stone house foundation back in the woods and an old unpaved road that leads down to the creek! Do any of you use an ace 250? Tips? Suggestions?
Any help would be amazing

I am not so much a land hunter anymore but you can find lots of Ace 250 users on the Garrett section of this forum. Hope you have a ball with the new detector.

Take your time!!! Learn the machine !!! It will take some time, and you will be frustrated at first. You probably will dig alot of trash, tire of hearing the incessent ding, ding, ding, but it will come to you. Above all, do not listen to any negative comments you might here about the 250. It's a good machine. I've had mine since Apr. and am just now figuring it out. Good luck, and HH.

Indianapolis. Was just going to say that if you were close, there is a club in the city. We are up to about 35 members. What part of southern IN? I've hunted several spots down that way and we are always looking for more places to roadtrip to.
