Hi, all. I've been away for awhile, but I got my season started pretty well today with this US 6th Regiment button from 1798-1802. I believe it is a pretty scarce one and I'm pretty happy with the condition considering it's pewter.

Happy hunting

It turns out the first pic I saw of this button was upside down. This is apparently a 9th regiment, not 6th. It also appears after a little research that the ninth was disbanded in 1800 so I don't trust the dates associated with the first photo I located either. Maybe someone can help. Thanks

Bump due to mistake. Also, does anyone have any info on the ninth? It looks like they were together only a short time around 1799, then later?

Well, it ain't a Flowing Hair Half Dime, but very nice find! ;D
