Nice early silver cufflink circa 1800

cufflinks back then had loop shanks like the flat buttons?

Yes and the correct term is linked buttons. Cufflinks is a modern term as these buttons were not only used for cuffs. You might find the other siide if you go back though I never have

Silver button should say fleur de li_s on it. The s is important.

Nice finds, especially the silver linked button! :icon_thumright:

Nice!!! Congrats!!!!

thanks guys and thanks "toasted" for telling me that. I never found any cufflinks or link, so I had no idea they had the loop on the back also..

"another brass round piece with a groove around it, hollow on the inside, and some type of fitting for something on one end."
What you have here is a cap to a keg spigot. The cap fit over the valve on the spigot and allowed access with a key to turn it on/off. I find them all the time on late 18th/early 19th century sites. Congrats on your other finds as well :icon_thumright:
