Back to 1870 church/ three ring bullet

Took day off work for my bday. Hit the church property found the usual stuff and than I dug this three ring bullet! The Union cavalry and some troops passed by that land on a wagon road on the property. I’ve found a lot of goodies there but no proof they traveled it. I’m assuming it’s the real deal. If it is than it’s my first CW relic. It’s has almost solid bottom and either number 6 or 9 carved into it

Should I go back and hammer that site? The church is up on blocks should I try to get underneath it? Woods on side bullet was found are grown up but still can try to get in
