I've heard the term "dug" before; and understand it to mean that it came from the site, is that correct? What makes you think that of this one in pic 3? (Hope you don't mind me asking questions after you ID something....but I like to try and follow what you see, even if I can't see it!!)

I don't mind the questions at all! When I started learning I had a bit of a time figuring out some of the stuff I had questions about and I know how frustrating it can be, so if there is something I know and someone else is looking for that info I am eager to share. Hopefully what I share is accurate and not misleading or incorrect.

In the bottom left picture, you see where the red ribbon goes left just above the equator and makes a bird-head point? I see a silvery sheen on the ribbon. That might have been from being in the ground for a long time (glass sickness). The ground leaches chemicals from the glass somehow or another and causes this effect. It might be possible that something else caused it and it just was made that way, but closer inspection might help figure it out. Dug normally means from the site but in this case it could be just that it was buried in the dirt somehwere else for 80 years.
