Went back out the last 2 days to the empty lot. Yesterday I pulled out a shield with monogrammed lettering. For what I don't know. A little heart charm, and a toasted tag.

Today wasn't easy. The ground is so compacted from being used as a parking lot makes it like digging through concrete almost. My G2 came through for me though. Got me a toasted Indian head can't make out the head year but I'll take it. Also this lead goose it's a little twisted but an interesting dig at that. I'm beat but it's all worth it. Thanks for looking.

But you got that cool shield! Nice work. IHC is toast but it is still a find THumbs up!

Nice old finds, congratulations! :occasion14:

NICE FINDS LOOKS LIKE A SADDLE SHIELD OR SOME INITIAL MONOGRAM FOR A BOX

hey if you are happy then it is worth it and it looks like you found some good stuff

The shield looks similar to makers-marks on the front of old bicycles, but thats a WAG.

Dry and compacted dirt, I'm surprised you didn't need a steam shovel to dig.

Those are nice finds.

Well done! Nice finds, congrats and HH

Nice finds, I think I'd consider using a hammer & chisel in ground like that.
Have never done it but sounds logical that you could square out a nice outline of a hole and scrape it up from the bottom, hopefully with the object in it.
