One more trip before winter.cabin is way up in the middle of nowhere.found a couple old shotgun shells again.one is a wra co star 12 gauge.the other is a USC. Co climax 12 gauge.along with a few huge billet casing.its interesting the key was found nowhere near the old cabin site it was in the middle of the woods just walking around.found a square nail that is split .not sure if it was made that way.the coolest fine is the b g i co pat 1883 brass piece to a ram rod for a gun.thinking black powder but not sure.this site is around the 1880s so the finds are still dating to that period.also can't tell if these are ax heads or maybe splitting mauls because they are so squished in on the back side.i know they had some kind of blacksmithing setup near the cabin.maybe they were made up there
