I know! I bet some wwi vet brought it back as a trophy. The nice thing about the dump is it dates from the early 1900s to no earlier than 1930. I found a license plate from 1930 as the youngest item todate. Earliest coin to date is an 1864 Indian. But tokens, coins, silverware, bottles; you name it we find it.

That German buckle is interesting for your area. It could have been a souvenoir from WWI or from a possible WWI POW camp in the area? HH and nice finds, Mike

It is a little funny that, you find a German military buckle in Texas and I found an 1864 IH in a German field, my only IH American find, LOL. HH, Mike

No WWI POW camps around here but several WWII POW camps. One had Italians and one had German POWs.Mighr get to hunt the Italian one but don'tknow what I'd expect to find. Maybe some buttons?
