Yesterday, I returned to the park that gave up 42 foreign coins that were from 10 different countries. I continued on the steep slope where I left off. About an hour into the hunt I got a nice silver signal on the E-trac. It turned out to be a pretty little silver bracelet with the Letters B T on it.
I kept working my way North hoping for a silver coin or two. It soon came in the form of one of those O.D. nickels. The color was a little different, so I flipped it over and rubbed the area above the Monticello dome. Sure enough, a nice big S. I'm so glad that a lot of guys don't dig nickel signals.
This 35% silver coin was soon joined by a silver Washington and then a Mercury Dime. Then things got real quiet. Lots of pennies but they aren't all that interesting to me.
According to the research that I did on this park, there was once a mansion, (built in 1859). It was taken down in 1938. A Gazebo was built very close to where the Mansion once stood. With about an hour left before I would have to quit for the day,, I decided to move to that side of the park. I hit an area around the park flagpole, which is directly across from the Gazebo. I got a nice silver signal and sure enough,, out pops a silver ring. I had to laugh because the ring has a nice diamond on it. I found myself pulling out my loupe to check to see if maybe this was white gold.
Now anyone who has ever used an E-Trac for awhile, knows that there is no mistaking a silver signal for a gold signal. I guess once I saw the ice, I completely forgot that and went into "Wishful Thinking Mode" lol
