Bad week leads to fantastic hunt. Coppers 14 & 15 (hard times?) and cool relics!
This past week had been a tough one. Grandfather passed away, car s@#$ the bed and I got cellulitis (didn't even know you could get it if you're thin). Hit a farm today and did really well. Sorry for the poor picture quality, I had to use my camera phone. I've got a lot of "whatizits" in here. So, if you can ID them, I'll be your best friend for ever
After hitting the farm field, I went to an old Native American site looking for arrowheads. Right behind the dwelling of a famous Native American, I found that large pottery looking thing in the water. I have no idea what it is. Also found the shard of clay pipe. I can't figure out that markings on the tankard, maybe someone can ID it. I'd also really like to get an ID on the second copper. Hard times token maybe? I can make out "Wholesale and Retail" on the reverse and 1883 on the front. The LC is 1802. And, maybe the coolest find is that "whatever it is" that has the name and the town of Bridgewater (where I live) on it. Again, don't know what it is. Also don't know what the cut piece is, but it rang up as silver on the E-Trac.
