Now the choices roll in & it's time to focus on our best options in a very small time window.
Bag Seal City is the first Roman Site to be cultivated (that we know of, & we track all crop rotations), so right now it's the top of the list.
Once again we were surprised by the amount of targets including tons of junk, as we hit it well last year.

6 Hours Gridding:

26 Scrappies
Medieval Small Buckle
18th C Clog Clasp
Scrap silver bits
Silver Cuff-link or broken Collar Stud
Roman Child's Ring Bezel
Rose Farthing
Hammered Halfpenny (unknown)
Bits...

Here is one of our better days on this site last year:

I like the ring. Do you think it was enameled or had it small stones? Many finds all over the centuries, but i guess you never found a lute or mandoline before...

Very good question. At first I thought enamelled, but later thought small stones. Not had this type before.

Great work as always Crusader. Looking forward to reading about your future adventures!

Very nice results from hitting it well last season.
Just goes to show that the settling of the soils does make it new again, many times over.
Then throw a good turning of the soils and it can be a new field-or a lot of lonely dirt.

You never have a dull post! congrats on all the digs!
