Bahamas Trip Next Week (Update: I'm back with Pics)

I'm heading to Nassau next week for 6 nights. I'm actually staying on Cable Beach if anyone has been there before (it's my first trip).

I was reading that the place has been busy with Spring Breakers so I'm hoping for a few good finds. Anyone know the area?

How did it go?

I'm heading there in a few weeks & may have a run at the Wyndham beach in Nassau and some of the beaches in Freeport.

Did you have any problems with customs/security/etc?

I was there last month and no one gave the detector a second look. Some clad and one silver ring. There were reports of lost items. Water was chilly, I had a wet suit but didn't need it.

Hey guys. I'm back. I had a great time. I broke down my MD and checked it in my large suitcase (I did the same going to Nassau last year). No problems at all.

By the way, I hit Cable Beach last year (stayed at the Wyndham) and I found lots of coins. I found more there than in Mexico.

I found all clad, mostly Mexican coins. The 10 peso coins were cool. They're worth .80 or so, I used them for tips at the bar. I didn't find a single piece of jewelry. Here are some pics of the beach since I didn't take pics of the finds.

I thought you said you didn't find any jewels, but yet I see one in two of the pictures, just kidding.  I don't know if it is your wife so I don't want to offend, sorry.

I stayed at the same resort, the same unless it changed locations, back in 1985.  I wasn't in to metal detecting at the time.  I always thought it was a perfect place to metal detect. 

You mention Mexico, which part Cancun?  I went there and Playa del Carmen before heading over to Cozumel a few years ago.  Lots of jewelry everywhere on people.  I wish I had brought a metal detector, but again that was the pre time.
