Considering upgrading from my ACE 350 to an AT Pro. My concern is how well the AT Pro is balance compared to the ACE 350. The standard 8.5X11 DD coil
on my ACE 350 makes the detector feel front heavy and wears me out after a couple of hours of swinging. With the 5X8 DD coil on the 350, the detector is much
better balanced and more comfortable to swing, plus the smaller coil performs as good or better than the stock coil. My question, will the AT Pro equipped with the
5X8 DD have a similar weight and balance as the ACE 350 with the 5X8 DD coil?

Yes it will. The 5x8 gives the Pro a nice balance. The stock coil is too front heavy and does not balance well.

Is the balance on AT Pro with stock 8.5X11 DD coil worse than balance on ACE 350 with stock coil?

Can't help you on that one as I don't own the 350 just the ATPro. The Pro was definitely front heavy until I bought the 5x8.

They are probably identical in weight and balance the Ace350 and the ATP or very close to it

I have owned both and the 350 was not an issue at all while swinging. When I first got the at pro it was a little heavy from the stock coil but got over this quite fast. I have both coils for the at pro and the 5x8 is a lot easier to swing but neither coil is an issue for me. If it seems too heavy they make a sling you can buy. There are many detectors out there that are a lot heavier and harder to swing. Good luck.

Yes I noticed the AT Pro is kinda front heavy with the stock coil, haven't bought the other yet to see the difference in balance but i'd assume it would be a better balance.
