bale seals does anyone have a use for them

lead bale seals come up as such a great signal-nice solid beep-I have quite a few now-- but what to do with them. can we research the numbers on them to find out what they sealed. can we @ their age. just curious to know what can be done with them.

It is not some mystery as to what bale seals were used for. A little research should reveal all you want to know about them.

Also, what do you mean by "what do I do with them"? What do you do with anything you dig up?

To be honest I'm getting tired of keeping all my finds. If there is no cool historical significance why keep it.
