Drove 70 miles round trip this morning and arrived at the spot at 7am. Ground still pretty hard but I managed to dig a couple old ones and about 16 wheaties, the oldest 1909. Took awhile to find the sweet spot, which was an area about 25' X 100' to the left and rear of the ball diamond.
I had to leave at 10 am, couldn't take the full sun and heat.
Dig 16 wheaties without a scratch, you think I could miss the greenie IH? No, I had to butcher it. And I sure miss my Lesche digger, the knock-off was junk out of the box.
